I will get back to the Q and A thing I'm doing soon, but first I want to post about the great day I had yesterday!
Jovino and I went out for free pancakes for Fat Tuesday (yay, greasy breakfast with halfway decent coffee - the good stuff jacks up my stomach so I have actually come to like the weak ass kind that I used to snub - hey, at least I can drink this stuff.) One of the restaurant staff was really into our bunny hats, saying he and his friends love to wear silly outfits and that he wanted several cards to pass around. Next, we hit up our favorite east bay fabric store and found some great fabric for our summer projects that wasn't too expensive. We also made a quick stop at OSH and I bought the most adorable little Meyer lemon tree! I am SO excited about this! I have been wanting one for some time and it should do well here.
Later, we took bart into SF for a meeting for the CFDC fashion show, where we learned that we are going to get to show our work at the upcoming show!!! More on that in the future (here and in the bunnywarez journal.) We are both THRILLED about this!
After the meeting it was past 10pm and we were hungry, so we stopped by Sparky's for some late night food. My favorite waiter, Bob, wasn't there, and the two waiters who were working were too busy to seat us, or even to look at us, so after standing there by the "Please Wait to Be Seated" sign for a while, we deicded to bug out and see if Chow was still open, across the street. I figured that since they hadn't seen us standing there, they wouldn't miss us if we left.
It turns out that those busy waiters did us a huge favor! Chow was indeed open, and we had a really awesome meal (their food is amazing.) I decided to splurge on a bottle of good champagne to go with dinner, to celebrate our being admitted into the CFDC show, and for Fat Tuesday. (I loves me some good champagne!) And not only that, but I got to have my favorite Chow dish - the delicious oven roasted chicken (it turned out to be free range chicken, so I can justify eating it because it actually had more of a life than just being stuck in a tiny cage and shot up with antibiotics and hormones.) Oh how I have missed that Chow chicken! We also shared a roasted artichoke appetizer that was fantastic, and best of all, we had a lovely conversation that ranged over many topics. I am delighted with my life, my wonderful partner Jovino, and our work together. We have so many amazing ideas for the future - I can hardly wait to get started!
