red-headed stepchild in the house of love

I had a lovely date on Thursday evening. I went to Keith's place for the first time. It was small but beautifully decorated and very well organized, with gorgeous original oil paintings on the walls. I'd had no idea he painted and was amazed by the work - definitely gallery quality, though he said he'd never chosen to pursue gallery shows. They were reminiscent of Magritte - glowing, realistically surreal dream images. I really liked them - even the disturbing ones. Keith is a fascinating person with a lot of depth, and I am always seeing new sides of him. I still feel a bit "new and shy" at times, but I really enjoy our time together, and he is very sweet and calm, and I feel he is very open to me. The fact that he is definitely poly, and experienced at it, as is his (also very cool) partner is a real plus too. It's great! He's really a darling man. I know I'll get over the shy thing - it doesn't happen that often, and when I'm not directly experiencing it I feel very comfortable with him and I know it's just me being weird the rest of the time. It's nice to not feel judged (and generally wrong/lacking) as I often have in the past. This is really the first new relationship I've had since the divorce, and I have to give myself some slack because it is all really fairly new to me... I must say I'm loving the lack of drama and fear around it!
