Oh, wow! I wish I had something like that nearby.. that said, there are a couple outfits that offer weekly boxes of Stuff, which I should perhaps look into, and see how that compares against the kind of vegetable purchases I tend to make. Nothing too weird and wonderful: carrots, mangetout, snowpeas, broccoli, baby corn, and green beans, mostly. Frustratingly, so much of all this comes from a long distance away - much out of necessity, I suppose.. it wasn't so long ago that all vegetable availability was strictly seasonal. I just can't help feeling I shouldn't like baby corn so much, when it's getting flown over from Thailand, rather than grown in hothouses somewhere closer. (But would that be better? I understand a lot of commercial roses are grown in Africa, Kenya especially, and that the overall ecological impact of cultivating them in greenhouses would actually be worse)

Fresh peas are especially nomworthy - such a huge difference from the frozen kinds, straight out of the pod. And good potatoes, of course.. though I'll admit a weakness for drowning them in cheese, for scalloped potatoes. So good. =:9 Actually, I haven't had such in quite a long while now.. maybe I'll pick up a bag next time I'm at el supermercado.

o/~ What a friend we have in cheeses o/~

We used to get our veggie box from Terra Firma Farms. It was excellent and about the right size. It really changed our eating habits for the better. (:
