I'm not a twitter fan. I suppose that's because I really like it when people make nice posts, etc about their life. Twitter boils it down to nothing, and then the @someone's twitter makes it totally nonsensical.

Considering I love language, and drawn out discussion... I never was one for shorthand communication techniques.

Not as much, since you're not @ing to people we can't see. :-)

I hate ljtwitter only because I've already read it on Twitter.

Not nearly as much, since it doesn't dump the timestamp formatting that drives me up the wall the way twitter does.

I actually find twitters entertaining...sometimes people's attempts to turn an entire day's worth of activity to super condensed brief accounts can have some pretty amusing results.

I guess txt is fine as long as you find a way to express something interesting enough to be worth reading in such hard-to-type format.

The thing with twitter is that just because of its format and purpost those messages are not going to be interesting to anybody but you or the person you twitter at (very few exceptions) hence my LJ twitter hating. I feel it clogs up my friends page with stuff that I just don't need to see.

I think the fact that almost nobody ever comments on LJ twitter posts speaks for itself.

I don;t really understand either! *laughs* It's sort of like seeing snapshots rather than completed thoughts. Works well enough for me.

Some twitters are better then others. Many make no sense at all and I often just gloss over them.
