The Great Mofo Delurk 2007

so apparently the "Great Mofo Delurk" is scheduled for today. every now and then I am surprised by getting a random comment from someone and then I go look at my "friend of" list and wonder who the heck some of these folks might be. today's the day to let me know! yay!!!

(ps: to the first responder to my "giving stuff away" post, you never sent your address! how you gonna get your stuff if you don't cough up your address?!)

I'm feeling: curious curious

What DOES "mofo" stand for?

I know what comes to mind, but I'm sure that's NOT what it means. ;)

I have no idea! I copied this from another blog... if you click the button you'll link through and perhaps find out.

Forty-one manestically spaced grouting brushes were arranged to feed into the rotor slipstream a mixture of high S-value phenylhydrobenzamine and 5% remanative tetryliodohexamine. Both of these liquids have specific pericosities given by P=2.5Cn6.7 where n is the diathetical evolute of retrograde temperature phase disposition and C is Chlomondeley's annular grillage coefficient. Initially, n was measured with the aid of metaploar refractive pilfrometer (for a description of this ingenious instrument, see Reference 1), but up to the present, nothing has been found to equal the transcendental hopper dadoscope.

In 1944 someone wrote a little article making fun of gobbledy-gook in training materials. I just copied a little bit.

you might find a video version of it funny. It is engineering humor tho
My 'joke' was that sometimes, lurking is golden... or something like that

Hi Mermaid!

I’ve only just added you as a friend, and am delurking to say hello. We met VERY briefly at the Memorial Day Camp and Sons campout, and you seemed awfully nice and funny, and an excellent DJ too! I wound up at your LiveJournal thru links from Tribe, and have looked at your journal a few times, and kept meaning to add you, and well, this seemed like a good opportunity to do that and say hi. And I’m 2 days behind in doing that too! Man, I am such a procrastinator.
